you open your Independent 529 Plan account, you'll have the opportunity
to select up to five “sample” colleges to monitor. Each

When you open your Independent 529 Plan account, don't forget to select up to five "sample" colleges from the member colleges list. Each quarter you will receive a statement that displays the value of your account so that you can see exactly what percentage of tuition you have accumulated at each of your "sample" colleges.
